BARDAHL ENGINE FLUSH is a premium oil additive for cleaning the inside of the engine. It is a concentrated blend of special solvents, oil and the famous Bardahl Polar Plus (polar traction formula). It cleans engine deposits and prevents them from forming further. Unclogs filters and stuck rings, loosens stuck valve lifters and piston rings during running. It cleans the inside of the engine and therefore restores power. Holds the collected deposits until the oil change. The polar traction formula then coats the metal gears with an ultra-strong lubricating film that reduces the build-up of residue. This additive allows the engine to run more smoothly and efficiently, restoring power. More efficient engine operation leads to better fuel economy and overall better engine performance. Suitable for both petrol, gas and diesel engines with a wide range of oils.
The problem:
Varnish, tar, carbon and sludge are by-products of engine combustion. These deposits are usually held in suspension in the crankcase oil and removed at the time of an oil change. However, under certain operating conditions, too late or infrequent oil changes can cause these deposits to overflow the engine oil, forming accumulations and clogging the oil passages. Short distance driving or infrequent use of the car increases the formation of sludge and tar.
Driving in high temperature conditions such as towing a trailer, mountain driving, urban driving, driving in traffic jams, start-stop increases the formation of varnish and carbon. Any of these driving behaviours can lead to more deposits than the engine oil you are using can collect.
Once this point is reached, deposits form in the grooves of the piston rings, on valves and valve guides, pistons and piston rings, and on the shaft; this reduces clearances and interferes with adjustability. This leads to irregular, misaligned engine operation, which can lead to inefficient engine operation and permanent damage if not "treated".
When varnish gets between the rocker arm and the rocker shaft, the valve spring gets pinched, which affects the tension of the valve spring and can cause plaque on the valve stem. Dirty piston spring grooves cause spring jamming. This leads to high wear of the piston springs, reduced compression, loss of engine power and increased oil consumption.
In particular, motors with hydraulic valves are susceptible to this phenomenon due to their low tolerance limits, which means that stuck valves immediately mean high wear on the camshaft. Stuck valves can be identified by a knock after a cold start.
Solution:
The special solvent blend in the Bardahl Engine Flush ensures that accumulated deposits are dissolved, rubber disappears from valves, stuck piston rings are loosened and sludge in the grooves of the piston rings dissolves.
The Bardahl Engine Flush ensures that these deposits are dispersed and remain suspended in the oil until they are discharged with the oil change. Bardahl's special high-pressure components also form a protective oil film on metal surfaces to prevent deposits from sticking any further.
By removing these deposits and loosening the trapped parts, the Bardahl Engine Flush ensures that the engine runs smoother and more efficiently again, and that the power loss is restored. A better running engine also means a more economical performance.
Usage:
Add a can (300 ml) to the crankcase oil of a stationary hot engine (max 4.5 litres). Caution - do not allow the oil level to rise above the maximum permissible level! Idle the engine for about 30 minutes (warm up to operating temperature). Allow the engine to idle for at least 15 minutes. Alternatively, drive up to 50 kilometres.
Important: choose one of the two options, not both!
Then change the oil and oil filter
This method ensures that the valves and compression springs reopen. Add a can of Bardahl Oil Booster + Turbo Protect to new engine oil for maximum lubrication.
